Take a picture of the iPhone screen

For an iPhone with Face ID (no Home button). With a Home button: press the side button and the Home button at the same time.

  1. Step 1: Press the side button and the volume up button at the same time.

    You will see The screen flashes.

  2. Step 2: Let go of both buttons right away.

    You will see The picture shows for a moment, with tools to mark it up.

    If it goes wrong Do not hold the buttons down. Holding them brings up the Emergency SOS slider, and holding longer starts a countdown to call for emergency help.

  3. Step 3: Open the Photos app to find the picture later.

    You will see The newest picture is the one you took.
