Step 1: Press and hold the side button and either volume button until the sliders show. Let go of both buttons.

You will see A slider shows that says "slide to power off".

If it goes wrong If it counts down or makes a loud sound, let go right away. Never move the Emergency SOS slider. If a call to 911 starts by mistake, stay on and tell them it was a mistake.

Step 2: Put your finger on the slider and slide it to the right.

You will see The screen goes black.

Step 3: Wait 30 seconds.

You will see The phone stays dark.

Step 4: Press and hold the side button until the Apple logo shows.

You will see The phone starts. You may need your passcode.

If it goes wrong If the screen is frozen and the slider never shows, call me.
